Allevyn Gentle Border is designed to deliver effective exudate management and maintain an optimal moist wound-healing environment. This self-adhesive, waterproof dressing offers secure placement and can be left in place for up to seven days, helping reduce disruption to the wound site. Its gentle border minimises trauma during removal while providing reliable protection and comfort.

How to Use
Wash your hands before and after treating the wound, gently clean the wound and surrounding skin, clip any excess hair, ensure the pad covers the wound completely, open the pouch and remove the Allevyn Adhesive dressing, start removing the backing sheet, anchor the adhesive to the skin, smooth the dressing over the wound while removing the remaining backing, ensure it lies flat without creases and adheres all around, and if repositioning is needed, remove carefully and reapply following the instructions
Warnings
Do not cut the dressing as the bacterial barrier and fluid handling capabilities may be compromised. The use of oxidizing agents e.g. hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite solutions should be avoided with Allevyn Adhesive as these can break down the absorbent component of the dressing. Allevyn Adhesive is a singly use product. Re-use of this dresssing may cause cross contamination which may lead to infection.
